Dear Bev,
I can?t begin to tell you what great joy Maui brings to our home. He is so well mannered and all your recommendations that you have given me worked. We are thrilled to have him as part of our family. It all has to do with the breeder. I believe that 100%

Hi Jewell,
I totally agree with you on the information you have given in regards to the eye certifications. I know that this is a heartfelt subject from your experience with your beloved springer who became blind. I would like you to consider that it may be more important to have several generations of normal testings since it is a hereditary defect. I believe there is a much bigger picture than yearly testings of the same two breeding pair. We have done 5 generations of yearly eye certifications on our breeding pairs and DNA testing for Progressive Retinal Atrophy which is recessive and can be easily eliminated.

These are beautiful babies and I can see that Bev loves them dearly but please ask that she have them tested for eye problems every year (CERF) and especially before breeding. The puppies should really be tested too. English Springer Spaniels have a history of genetic inherited eye diseases that may not show up until the dog is older. Some people think testing is not important because this is just a pet - not a breeder - but it can be heartbreaking down the line if the companion you love goes blind.

I am so impressed and amazed at your dedication with training your pups. We used to have 2 springers whom we adored but have passed. We now have a field spaniel and border collie, which is enough to manage for now, but I would love to have another springer someday. I would be thrilled to get one of yours. Maybe someday. Kudos on your fine kennel and lovely springers!
